European bowls championships 2022
Pairs and Triples Playoffs -Results-
Following the semi-finals of the ladies’ and gents’ pairs and triples, the third-place playoffs and finals were played on the afternoon of Thursday 14 July 2022. The players again displayed great bowling and played in a great spirit.

Pairs
Women
Scotland (Emma Mcintyre & Rachael Sinclair) played against Wales (Alls Butten and Bethan Russ). Scotland got off to a flying start, building up a 7 shot lead by the 6th end. They drove on from their and never relinquished control of the game going on to win the game 25-8
3rd Place – Scotland.
Men
Ireland (Stuart Bennet & Stephen Kirkwood) played against Scotland Scotland (Jason Banks & John Fleming Jnr.).
Similar to the womens pairs, Scotland managed to build up a 7 shot lead by the 8th end. From their the won the next 8 ends to win 25-4 after 15 ends.
3rd Place – Scotland.

Triples
Women
Wales (Lauren Gowen, Hannah Williams & Melanie Thomas) played against Scotland (Kimbereley Dodds, Dawn Anderson & Megan Grantham). At the halfway stage Scotland had built up an 8 shot lead. Despite a great fight back by Wales, closing within 3 shots on the 14th end, Scotland stayed in front going on to win 18-15.
3rd Place – Scotland.
Men
England (Lee Calver, Jordan Philpott & Harry Goodwin) played against Israel (Zvika Hadar, Selwyn Hare & Allan Saitowitz). By end 9, Israel built up an 11 shot lead. Despite a galant fight back, by England, Israel went on to win 23-16.
3rd Place – Israel.
