Lorna Cormack

Lorna started bowling on grass at Thurso Bowling Club in the highlands of Scotland in 1978 when I was 13 years old.  During my time there I have won many Club and County Trophies.
In 1987 I won the Scottish National Pairs at Balgreen in Edinburgh and went on to represent Scotland in the British Isles in Durham.  We unfortunately lost to Ireland in the Semifinals. I have qualified for the Scottish National Finals many times but have never managed another win, but have reached the final twice in Rinks and Triples.
I was selected to represent Scotland in the Under 25 Ladies Squad, I played for three years 1987 to 1989. A good few years later after a successful trial I was selected to join the Scottish Ladies International Team in 2015.   I played for four years, playing in all four nations, Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales.  Due to the huge amount of travelling from the far north of Scotland I didn’t go for any further trials.
We moved to Spain in 2022 and joined Almeria Lawn Bowling Club where I currently play.   Really enjoying playing there with a great bunch of people.  During my first season I was delighted to win the Federation of Andalucía Bowling (FAB). Ladies Pairs, Mixed Pairs and Triples and I also play for Team Almeria.
