Robert is a proud Scotsman that now lives in the North West of England.  He started playing bowls at the age of 11 in Bainsford, Falkirk and won many club and district titles, competing at the national finals twice.

At the age of 24, he moved to Macclesfield in England and has been a key player for Bowls Lancashire and on the administration side as men's secretary for more than 5 years as well as being the county delegate to the Northern Counties Bowling Association and to Bowls England.  He played representing England in 2019 at the Tiger Bowls World Invitation event in Hong Kong & China, winning a Gold and a Bronze.   He was also Sport Services Manager at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games bowls event and is passionate about promoting the sport to a wider audience.

Away from bowls, Robert is Estates Manager at an independent school looking after 80+ acres of land and buildings in Cheshire, having formerly worked as General Manager of Macclesfield Town Football Club and with over 20 years experience of working at football matches.
